This very famous house is one of the oldest and most beautiflu mansions in Ras Beirut, overlooking the lighthouse in Manara. It was built in 1880 by Mohammad Ardati. I never imagined I would see it on the inside until Tom Young did an exhibition there. I was fascinated by the beautiful architecture, the story behind this house and the people and different families who owned it through the years. The most extravagant parties were held in that mansion. I took this picture and added this illustration of a lady having a drink and perhaps waiting to meet the man of her dreams.
